he walks slowly across the grassy plain
he gathers up the confidence to stand up and say
that what they are doing can never be right
he starts to head back as the sky turns to grey
the light he is holding is dimmer than bright
the darkness is growing when the sun lay.
the sadness was growing for all their sin
all it had caused them was grief and bitterness
he was a witness to what it was doing
their cold hard response wasn't any less
they want him to say it's okay to be wronging
but what he says back it, "to God confess."
